It is interesting to me that British people latinized the way to say the date. True in Spanish it would only make sense to say el uno de mayo because that is like saying la camiseta de Manny, but in English, we would say Manny's shirt, so it would track to say May 1st or May 1 because it is May's 1st or May's first day. May is possessive, like Manny, so it makes more sense to say May before the word first in English g

That is an interesting comment! I presume Brits use this format as a standardisation across Europe, as I believe Germans also use the same format. Whereas, our friends across the pond adopted a more Anglo Saxon format as they were only interested in standardisation across USA.

@@EnglishwithJoe I agree. As an American, it is weird, but that does make sense. We did it by standardizing to Anglo rules because we mostly speak English. That's a cool way of seeing it.

I say it without the h sound.Unless im spelling a word out to someone beginning with the letter h,like for instance Happy,so when i say outloud h.a.p.p.y. i tend to make the "haitch" sound. God knows why.Maybe because when pronouncing the word "happy" you immediately start with a "haitch" sound.

Also the fact that "posh" accent is mostly used in the south, which on average is wealthier than the north so thats another stereotype that comes with it edit: just to clarify, cockney is used in london which is in the south east, the posh accent which i have is used a lot in the south west :)
